Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been an Greek American columnist, author and businesswoman for more than 20 years. She's written 15 books. She is also the co-founder the magazine The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is a writer TV personality, philanthropist, and TV host and also the proprietor and publisher of The Huffington Post. Her move from Greece to England aged 16 where she received an MA from Cambridge University in Economics. The well-known debating club The Cambridge Union was her first time as president, and she held it before the age of 21. After graduation she made her name as columnist in the conservative syndicated media and, with the launching of The Huffington Post' few years later, she developed an online voice portal which offered critical observations regarding the state of affairs. The fame of Arianna has helped attract a number of famous contributors. Arianna gained notoriety in 2003, when she ran as an independent in the California recall elections to replace Governor Davis. Also, she was the head of the Detroit automobile project that was fuel efficient. In 2009 she was named by Forbes as one of the top women in media gaining 12th position in the listing and the following year the Guardian listed her on the top 100 media list. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post in 2011 and appointed her president of the media group that also includes additional AOL products like Engadget AOL Music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos was a daughter born to Konstantinos a management advisor and a journalist. Though she shared a close friendship with both her father and mother and father, it was their relationship which shaped her. Through her early times, she demonstrated leadership skills for which she is still well-known. In the year she turned 16years old, she emigrated from the United States to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. In college, she was a member of the Cambridge Union, a college debate group. Being the third woman president, and also the first foreigner she served as the head of the Cambridge Union. She graduated in 1972 with a master's degree in Economics. She worked as a critic as well as a host on TV and a columnist after her graduation. She also appeared alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started creating books with his editing assistance.
