Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She is the author of fifteen books. She is also the co-founder of The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is a journalist, television personality, philanthropist and also the proprietor and editor of The Huffington Post. Originating from Greece Arianna Huffington emigrated to England together with her family around 16 years old. At Cambridge University she earned a MA Degree in Economics. At 21 she became head of the famous debate club The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student to do so. As a conservative syndicated blogger when she graduated, she went on to become the voice of Huffington Post. The fame of her name helped by attracting a variety of high-profile contributors to share their opinions about news from the world of politics and culture. Arianna gained fame after she decided in 2003 to become an Independent candidate for the California Recall Election to replace former Governor Davis. Additionally, she was involved in the Detroit-based initiative that advocated for cars that are fuel efficient. In 2009, she was ranked by Forbes as the most influential women in the media, achieving 12th place on the list. The same year Guardian included her in the top 100 media list. AOL acquired The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. In 2012, she became the president of the AOL media group. It was comprised of several AOL-owned brands, including Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos was a daughter of Konstantinos an advisor to management and a journalist. Though she shared a close connection to her mother and father and father, it was their relationship which shaped her. In her early years, she displayed the qualities of a leader and is a household name. At 16 years of age she emigrated to the United Kingdom to pursue her education and was enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. During her college days she joined the college debating society Cambridge Union where she became the third foreign, and first female president. She graduated in 1972 with a Master's Degree in Economics. After the graduation ceremony, she worked as a critic columnist and television host. Her appearance in Face the music with Bernard Levin was a notable one. She started writing books, taking his help to edit.
