Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is an author, television personality, philanthropist as well as the founder and editor of The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was in Greece and moved to England when she was sixteen. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA in economics. She was the first student from outside the UK to become president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. In the years following the graduation ceremony, she was a prominent Conservative syndicated journalist. After a few years later, she founded The Huffington Post which featured critical commentary on the current political scene. The fame she gained helped her to convince several stars to voice their views on current events, as well as politics and culture. Arianna became famous in 2003 after she decided to contest for a non-partisan position for the California recall vote to succeed the Governor Davis. Additionally, she was involved in an initiative in Detroit that promoted cars that are fuel efficient. Forbes placed her at 12 on its top 10 list of Most influential women in the media. Guardian also included the HuffingtonPost in their Top 100 list in 2010. AOL purchased The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. In 2012, she became the President of AOL's media group. The group included several AOL-owned properties, such as Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos is a daughter born to Konstantinos a management advisor and journalist. While she was close to her father, her connection to her mom was the defining factor in the rest of her life. Even in her formative age, she displayed the qualities of a leader for which she's still known. At the age of 16, she moved over in England in the United Kingdom for her higher education. She attended Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined the college debating group Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign president and was also the third female president. In 1972 she received an education in Economics. She became a writer, a critic, a TV host as well as a columnist following her graduation. The appearance she made in Face the music with Bernard Levin was also noteworthy. Her first novel was written. books with his guidance in editing.
