April Ross

April Ross has won more than one Olympic medal. Ross is among a few female players of beach volleyball who have done so. Alix Klineman, competing for the first time in Tokyo's Olympics, will try to earn her third Olympic medal. But more than that, Ross hopes to win the first Olympic gold. At 39, this could be Ross' last chance to win the gold medal at an Olympics. But she's convinced that winning the gold medal is within reach. If we play our best or even if we play well I feel like we'll win the gold medal Ross declared on NBC Boston. In addition, I'll try the chance to have chances. Ross was born in 1982 in Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents and her sister. In addition to playing in numerous sports, Ross also attended Newport Harbor High School. Apart from the indoor game, she also ran track and basketball as a pre-collegiate athlete. When she played in the final sport she was clearly the standout. In her college profile, she played outside of the hitter middle blocker, as well as a setter in her volleyball playing career at high school. The award was presented to her as by the Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the year in 1999, for her performance. Additionally, in 2000, she was named Orange County Athlete of the year for volleyball. Ross and Klineman might have begun working together at the beginning of 2017, but Ross was already an established player at the beach before they came together. In fact, she won numerous major events in the past with two different partners. one of which is the volleyball legend. Between 2007 and 2013 she played by Jennifer Kessy, who is currently her coach. Alongside Kessy Ross was a force on the international circuit winning a world title in 2009. In the 2012 Olympic Games, they won the gold medal. The Misty Maytreanor legendary team along with Kerri Jennings were the winners of gold. Ross Jennings became Walsh Jennings partner in fate when Maytreanor retired. The team won bronze in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross was a college player with the Trojans of USC prior to her pro career. She played during high school, and even years prior to hitting the beaches as a professional. And her run at the school was a memorable one. The year 2000 was her freshman year. saw her earn the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman's of the Award and also be named an All-American. In addition, she helped her Trojans to reach the Final Four. After her sophomore year she was devastated by a personal tragedy, but managed to earn the honor of being named an All-American. The two years following her she led the Trojans up the mountain and won consecutive national titles. As an individual Ross established her status as a legend when she won the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. This award was given to the top female college volleyball players in the United States. Ross majored at USC in International Relations. Margie Ross was never able to witness her daughter's climb to beach volleyball fame. Ross's mom Margie passed away in 2001. Ross was in the midst of being a USC sophomore. The cancer was diagnosed as breast. She has kept her parent close to the heart. Margie continues to be an inspiration both on and off of the shore.
