Amy Smart, an American actress and former model. Born and brought up in California USA she started her modelling profession in Italy. She began her acting career at the age of 16 in The TV production Her Costly Affair. Following a long and difficult battle her way to a role, she got a chance in the 'Starship Troopers' series starring in Starship Troopers. Amy struggled to make the shift into acting since models weren't considered good actors, and they typically were given small parts. Amy did not give up. Her first role came in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. The 2005 romance comedy Just Friends, which also featured Ryan Reynolds, saw her play more prominent role. Amy became famous for her efforts throughout the previous 10 years. Amy went on to appear in major movies including the Crank Series alongside Jason Statham, and Shameless.
